Vivekananda Centenary High School was established in the year 1964 on the occasion of birth Centenary of Swami Vivekananda at Gandhi Nagar, Vijayawada and it was THE BEST SCHOOL in Krishna District and served at Gandhi Nagar up to 1977.Later on it was shifted to Azitsing Nagar, Vijayawada at the initiative and request of the then Special Officer, Sri A.V.S.Reddy, to serve the deprived sections of society. From 1977 onwards it is imparting value based education and many of its students reached to great heights over these years and won the Public admiration. Many Philanthropists, service oriented organizations old students generous public helped the school in many ways. It has 15 class rooms a library, laboratory, universal Prayer Hall and play ground. The school provides free education to all the students, scholarships, free books, uniforms to deserving students.
A voluntary student service organization was started in 2009 with 150 students. The main aim of this organization is to develop moral values, character, building leadership qualities, service motto and to face the challenges in the society and above all to extend services at times of natural calamities.Students are taught moral values through special classes from Vivekananda Literature.
Presently it has 160 students and provides the free education from classes 1 to V. and it is a part and parcel of Vivekananda Centenary High School.
This school was established at Azitsing Nagar, Vijayawada in the academic year 2012-2013 to impart value based quality education in English Medium with 120 students with L.K.G, U.K.G. and I classes. In Subsequent years II to X classes were started. All the staff working in this school are well qualified and trained.
The school is run under the able guidance of Sri Rama Krishna Samithi Management and the Principal Smt.Haritha Madhavi Latha.
The main motto of establishing this school is imparting Quality education in English medium with affordable fee.
At present nearly 1200 students enrolled from LKG to X classes. The school is achieving very good results in 10th class for the last 7 years.
The school strives to provide ample opportunities for all round development on not just academic but mental, physical intellectual spiritual and social plans. Spoken English is given utmost importance and students are encouraged to speak in English. The teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada matha and Swami Vivekananda are taught to inspire our students to become Good Citizens of this Country.
The school was established in 1981 to meet the educational needs of poor girl students of deprived sections in Payakapuram. It was established at the initiative and request of the then Collector Krishna District Sri A.V.S. Reddy. Since its inception the school is providing quality and value based education to the girl students and the students of the school are well placed in the respective held’s over these 30 years. At present the school has 450 students from classes I to V. In the same premises a Health Center for Mother and Child Welfare was established in 1999, donated by Sanjay Deepak Charitable Trust (Grand Sons of K.L.Rao, the former Central Minister and famous Engineer) and it is providing Free Medical Aid to the people in the Payakapuram Area.
