Inspired by the lofty ideals of Sri Rama Krishna Paramahamsa, Holy mother Sarada mai and Swami Vivekananda a few young men headed by Sri P . Bapi Raju formed the Sri Rama Krishna Samithi on 18th December 1955 and inaugurated it on 5th February 1956 at Vijayawada. Since its inception the Samithi has been striving incessantly to carry on Activities following the foot steps of Sri Rama Krishna Mission with love and Loyalty.

Sri Rama Krishna Samithi has been doing various service activities in Vijayawada and in various places of Krishna, West Godavari and East Godavari districts. It has been doing commendable service activities since its inception. Sri Rama Krishna Samithi played a pivotal role in propagating the highest humaristic values of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Saradamai and Swami Vivekananda not only in Vijayawada but also in many places like Koduru (Krishna District), Siddhantham, Malleswaram (WG district) etc., and started centers in those areas.

It conducts various activities in the fields of education, health, welfare of the poor, relief and rehabilitation arts and culture. Morality ethics and spirituality irrespective of caste creed and religion and is avowedly apolitical. At present Sri Rama Krishna Samithi are having head quarters at Azitsing Nagar, Vijayawada in the premises of Vivekananda Centenary High School, Azitsing Nagar, Vijayawada-15.

Having done honest services for over a period of half decade Sri P. Bapi Raju garu founder Secretary of Sri Rama Krishna Samithi handed over the responsibilities of Sri Rama Krishna Samithi to young and dynamic people headed by Sri V. Durga Prasad, a renowned business man of Vijayawada in 2008, June and the activities are being carried out with commitment sincerity and a nerve to serve the poor sections of the society and the legacy is being successfully carried out.
